October Hopenings in Central Texas

On October 24th there are several beery happenings in Austin and beyond. Independence Brewing Company celebrates their anniversary. Flying Saucer has a Fallfest with a multitude of rare casks expected and NXNW has its Oktoberfest (on both the 24th and 25th). In Conroe outside of Houston Southern Star brewing company will also hold an Oktoberfest event. On October 28th the Draught House will host a meet and greet with New Belgium representatives and there will be plenty of their beer on tap to select from including Transatlantique and Tart Lychee. On the same date St. Arnolds in Houston is hosting its invitation only ribbon cutting ceremony at the new brewery off I-10. On November 7th Draught House will host is 41st Annoiversary party starting at 1pm. Some of the beers they will have include House made Double IPA,Stone Cali-Belgique, Stone Self Righteous, Lagunitas Hop Stoopid, Dogfish Head 120, Live Oak Treehugger, New Belgium Tart Lychee. And on Cask-Brooklyn Pennant, New Belgium Hoptoberfest, Green Flash Hop Head Red, Green Flash West Coast IPA, Allagash Curieux,Saint Arnold Christmas Ale, Bear Republic Hop Rod Rye, Real Ale Firemans #4. Later in November during Thanksgiving weekend Freetail Brewing in San Antonio witll celebrate their anniversary with as many as 16 beers on tap including an imperial stout and an imperial IPA.
